Classes with Ms. Shawn feature flowing posture sequences partnered with breath awareness, to both challenge and then relax the body for increased flexibility and core strength. Through this type of breath work and flowing movement, we begin to feel our strength from toning the muscles, increase stamina from mindfully breathing and gain flexibility from lengthening the ligaments and tendons . Yoga postures and the ways to get in and out of them are never ending. Enrich your current foundation or enjoy the process of a new beginning by practicing regularly with a group at least once a week and discover daily in your own personal practice with the tools that are given in group class and at home with short videos that can be found online at our Youtube channel, movementforLYFE. As we continue to grow in our own personal discipline, we continuously rediscover the goals of each posture, reclaim the peace in our mind and flow freely from the heart. Every class is suitable for all levels as there is always a solution with modifications that can be addressed individually in group classes. Feel free to bring your blocks, straps, rollers, and mats to use as our number one focus if for each of us to know thyself and that means knowing our restrictions to reclaim our strength.

With a deep rooted background in Classical Ballet and Modern Dance, Shawn has continued to expand her life long exploration of movement through the study, practice & teaching of the healing art, Yoga. After 20 years of teaching dance and a personal yoga practice for her own health & wellness, she has incorporated teaching yoga in Mount Dora now for the past 2 years . Bringing together her love of dance, appreciation for alignment & passion for movement, Ms. Shawn's "style" of yoga can best be considered a "SLOW FLOW" vinyasa style that is suitable for all ages and levels. Though the class is designed to stretch our bodies and gently maximize range of motion, we will be challenging our core strength as we claim and regain alignment of the body and the mind. Ms. Shawn is 200hr TT certified & registered with the Yoga Alliance.
